At Quiet Givers, some of our most satisfying wins come from removing the barriers that stand between our neighbors and a stable paycheck. Whether someone is entering the workforce or trying to level up their career, the cost of getting ready to work can be a massive hurdle. Thanks to your support, here are a few employment-related gaps we’ve filled lately:
Work-Ready Gear: Two generous donors stepped in to purchase steel-toe boots and work pants for a local man starting a landscaping job.
A Safe Commute: Our monthly donors helped fill the gap for a woman in Ashe County who works at a childcare center and desperately needed new tires for her commute.
Reliable Wheels: We purchased a used bicycle to help a local man get back and forth to his job every day.
Employment is a huge step toward self-sufficiency and we love supporting community members by funding the unique needs that other agencies just aren't built to handle.
