The Right Tools in the Right Hands

A fortunate alignment of timing and community need sparked a new partnership between Quiet Givers and Avery County Emergency Medical Services. Last fall, we received a generous donation of high-quality medical equipment, including wheelchairs, mobility aids, and a hospital bed, but we needed a way to get them to the right people. Meanwhile, Avery EMS was searching for these exact items to launch a local equipment supply for their Community Paramedicine program. It was the perfect match: we had the resources, and they had the professional expertise to deliver them.

Now this equipment will be utilized directly by Avery County’s Community Paramedic. By putting these tools into his hands, we are ensuring that locals recovering from surgery or managing chronic illness have the support they need to stay safe and independent. This partnership is a prime example of how Quiet Givers works to fill the gaps in our community, making sure nothing - and no one - falls through the cracks.
