A fortunate alignment of timing and community need sparked a new partnership between Quiet Givers and Avery County Emergency Medical Services. Last fall, we received a generous donation of high-quality medical equipment, including wheelchairs, mobility aids, and a hospital bed, but we needed a way to get them to the right people. Meanwhile, Avery EMS was searching for these exact items to launch a local equipment supply for their Community Paramedicine program. It was the perfect match: we had the resources, and they had the professional expertise to deliver them....
