Need #5413 | Eviction Prevention for Single Mom

$336 Goal

$336

ASHE | We are working with the Department of Social Services to help out a single mother in Ashe County who is facing eviction on August 31 unless she can raise an additional $835.51 to get her rent caught up. One of her jobs was shut down for three months because of COVID-19, but she was unable to draw unemployment during the pandemic because she was kept employed part time by her other jobs, and her ex-husband was laid off and unable to pay child support. She has already paid $1,000 of her back rent on her own, and DSS has been able to raise $1,490. Quiet Givers has been able to provide $500 from our COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund, but she still needs $335.51 in order to prevent her eviction from moving forward. She is working again and will be able to maintain rent moving forward, but we want to make sure she and her children are able to stay in their home.
